The CAGCS Board of Directors at their October 29, 2009 Board Meeting voted on and unanimously approved the recommendations made by past CAGCS Superintendent of Year Award Winners which requested that the current Superintendent of the Year Award be changed to include all members of CAGCS. The Board approved the following changes and at this time requests nominations for this award.

The Connecticut Association of Golf Course Superintendents beginning this year will annually select one of its members who has been a member for at least five years and who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the advancement of the game and business of golf. To propose a candidate for this award, please submit a letter of recommendation to the Selection Committee. The letter should summarize the candidate's contributions to the entire golf community.
The Selection Committee will be comprised of all current members who reside in the state and are past winners of the Superintendent of the Year Award. This committee will review all nominations and will recommend a list of qualified recipients to be voted on by all Superintendent Members of CAGCS by a mail-in ballot. This award will be presented to the winner at our Annual Meeting on January 19, 2010.
