Job Description: John Deere Landscapes is the nation's largest distributor of nursery, irrigation, outdoor lighting, landscape supplies, fertilizers, turf protection products, grass seed, turf care equipment, and golf course accessories. We are seeking an experienced Golf Sales Representative to join our team in the White Plains, NY area. This position develops marketing plans and competitive strategies to penetrate and gain market share based on geographies defined by the Golf Sales Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieves sales targets for high budget golf courses within assigned geographical area.
  • Develops and implements market strategies encompassing multiple divisions and collaborates with local distributors to provide customer solutions.
  • Delivers training to channel partners, company employees and/or customers.
  • Works with universities and research centers to promote the company's brand strategy and to promote and market new technologies.
  • Involved in key professional organizations and societies.

Required Experience:

Qualifications:

  • Degree in an agricultural sciences or marketing discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess four - seven years experience in turfgrass industry with a broad range of marketing and sales related job functions.
  • Knowledge of financial principles required for budgeting and strategic planning
  • Must have successful negotiating and selling skills and a firm understanding of the agronomic industry as it relates to sales representatives and related branches.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
  • Must be able to travel frequently and extensively, including overnight travel
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess licenses as required by federal and state regulatory agencies.
